Twilight Poem by Linda Harnett

Twilight

Rating: 2.8

I have a sky of powder blue,
And dappled dusky pink,
I’m sitting here in twilight,
Don’t know quite, what to think.

I think I feel contented,
And happy with my lot,
But now my sky is changing,
I think I just forgot.

Forgot about the cold dark days,
To the winter I succumbed,
The icy blast of eastern winds,
And fingers swiftly numbed.

The sunlight energises,
Regenerates the soul,
Erasing deepest darkest nights,
When winter took its toll.

I have a sky of powder blue,
And wispy clouds of pink,
And God is in his heaven,
At least, that’s what I think.
