Twilight Poem by Ali Ashjaee

Twilight

It is the time of twilight
A chill wind blows along the daffodils
There is no light but the color white
Bragging proudly through the eventide
As sun creeps down the snow-covered hills

It is the time of twilight
Little by little the blushed sun in red
Gives up and leaves the sky without light
Then everywhere is dark filled with a sheer dread
Till the blissful orb turns the nightfall bright

It is the time of twilight
And the sky is full of lanterns all flickering
Amid the black coated night
By the giant yellow ball glittering
Cheerfully with a pure feeling of delight

It is the time of twilight
The serene river goes down the slumbered lea
Serenades merrily in the moonlight
And enlivens the grassland with an utter glee
Stretched all over in the elegant moonlit night

IT IS THE TIME OF TWILIGHT…
