Twilight - I

At night
I gaze at Venus
Sparkling amidst the stars
Like an innocent giggling child
The Moon observes
And comes close
It starts to shine brighter than before

Still gazing,
I get lost in dreams
My visions pour out of my eyes
As I calmly weep
For the things I never could keep
And as every tear comes out
It leaves another tear
And another, and another...

Who am I?
Does my morbid Self hold any importance?
What worth does my composition of mud and clay have?
My cool spirit inside
Roams amidst the filth within
How do I escape?
When still yet, I cannot die?

And I shut my eyes,
And open them again
Venus is lost behind the clouds
The Moon is nowhere to be seen
It has gone to a new phase
And left me alone,
All wondering again...
