Twilight Of Life Poem by SREEJITH KULAPARAMBIL

Twilight Of Life

In the twilight of my life, I saw a fluttering light
Heaved a sigh of hope, it enthralled my sight
There was a stranger passer-by
She stood with me near-by
Held my hands with a solacing touch,
It was a moment filled with delight,
Fairies of heaven were witness to it
She stood by me and held me with a grit
She was an angel sent by the god
To take me from the clutches of scheol
She took me afar to a land of pleasance
Where ecstasy was the reason to fete and dance
Now eternity was the only boon I wished,
My thoughts wandered in heaven and earth-
with an unrealized wish, without worth
I lost my paradise, before I realised
Mortal I was, then I agnised
Such is the plight of a man with desires,
He never revels that moment and it flies.
