The struggle for equality goes on,
The fight for freedom goes on,
And the dream goes on, as life goes on.
After a hard-fought and expensive election,
Pres. Obama is reelected for a second term.
That was a dirty campaign. Obama had to be firm
Strong, and unshakeable. There was a lot of mudslinging,
Many controversies, inaccuracies and fire in the ring.
However, the democratic president overwhelmed
The other party's candidate by an unexpected wide margin.
That was huge, that was big, and that was beyond the realm
Of anyone's wishful thinking or vivid imagination.
After all is reverberated, said and done,
The fight goes on, the struggle goes on.
We can simply hope for the best,
Life endures, as our ancestors rest
In peace. America is constantly changing,
The world is watching and applauding,
As two great men celebrate. This is a double victory
For America. Let's celebrate peace and liberty.
The struggle goes on, as time is passing by.
The fight goes on, and the dream will never die,
As we celebrate the anniversary of a great man
And the second inauguration of a historic icon.
