Twinkle Poem by Michelle Tiddy

Twinkle

Rating: 5.0

It's a twinkle of a memory
A tiny sparkle of what we used to be
A dance in a room that is only ours
A melody that sings in a crystal vase

The scent of a blossom that is surely
Bursting forth into life and perfuming us
Drenching you and me in lust and sparkle
And magic dust and just, and just

A dance in a music box, who winds it?
Is it you, me or us.. or a play
And a symphony, plucking those strings
That is where I want to be, in this life

Where music and dance and words
Represent beautiful verse and dreams
And love and beauty and my fingers feel
Like they are playing a piano.....

There are crescendos and dips and those
Wonderful moments in rapture when
You really want to close your eyes
And feel, just feel, the words

That is what I'm doing now...
My keyboard is a guitar, a cello
A Violin so mellow and then a flute
Where your lips just gently meet..

The place where the music pours out
And strolls along the avenue
Of life and music and just being
Where darkness lets it out

Tripping over letters and punctuations
When truly rhythm is our only salvation
It beats with our own hearts strong and true
Saving lovers like we two....

So I dance and I skip and I play along
Waiting for that beautiful song
That you will write for me...
I know you will, see you've done it once! ...
