Two Dead Carrots Poem by ted de Hallam

Two Dead Carrots

Two dead carrots in the bottom o' the 'frig
Half a tin o' sardines with a turned-up lid
Nothing in the freezer, typically geezer
Is this a way to live, I ask myself
Is this a way to live.

It could be chummy with a mate
A round warm bunny would be great
Showing me her white bits we could become a life fit
An item might do nicely once again.

Don't want no one to wash and sew
Not even egg and soldiers in a row
Just need some excitation
Not this vegetation
All I want's a little rock n' roll.

Am I asking far too much
Is all this me-me- me-ing just a touch
I want to share existence
So pardon my persistence
All I want's a friendly little brush.
