Two Faces Poem by Martine Kolber

Two Faces

So do you really think that
You are the one to be afraid of
Do you really think that the wrongs
You made me suffer will last forever
And is it me you see when in your
Insane dreams of destruction you
Spill the blood of the innocent

There was a time you were like me
There was a time your mind was free
From all that pressure you suffer now
There was a time your mind was free
From all the evil that you built around
Your weakened soul inside the dreams
That they stole from your hidden place

So do you really think now that
There is a place to rest that all the
Bloody revenges that you took will
Lead you to the freedom you once had
And bring you back your stolen innocence
Do you really think that your attack was
Well constructed and violated the destroyers

There was a time when you understood
There was a time and it was all good
You had a life and had yourself inside
There was a time you were for real
But now there is nothing left to say no more
Your former self shut hard the door to protect
And a new you raised to beat the enemies

You became one of those you never
Understood you spill blood and it feels good
You make people around you suffer whether
They deserve it or not there is no distinction
Not anymore inside your mind to keep the
Innocent ones save you became a ghost inside
A cage built up on lost and broken memories
