Two Sikhs Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Two Sikhs

Two Sikhs

You wonder what I do eating eggs
Yes I know the commands very well.
As you are, I too am a good Sikh
But I think, you do not.
The law says: “Don’t eat egg.”
Yes I know, know it well
Then why eat?
To save chick…that is it.
Every egg can turn bird
Face labour and murder
Do you see, the torture?
I eat egg…prevent the cruel
Chicken’s pain, and burden...
