Two Simple Words Poem by Kaila George

Two Simple Words

My mind confused
I wished to say
how much in pain I was
but toungetied
I could not
speak up and say
two simple words
help me

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This was something I wish I knew back then, that I could have said Help me, silly is'nt it how one person can say one thing, you believe what they say and your to scared to say anything...why I speak through my poems now. (tears swelling up in my eyes...regrets)

Simple and powerful, the rhythm doesn't really exist, but its not suppose to be structured that way, what your expressing is the quiet desperation every person feels under situations of duress and for long, by saying we need help we risk the fear of being considered weak, or inferior to our respected colleagues who will observe us as being beneath them. Its not silly that its hard to say help me, its a universal problem everyone faces especially for those who know help is elusive. Great write
