Tyler 1990-2005 (Not The Tyler In My Family Now... He Was My Older Foster Brother In My First Foster Home) Poem by Sami Woodall

Tyler 1990-2005 (Not The Tyler In My Family Now... He Was My Older Foster Brother In My First Foster Home)

Rating: 5.0

I knew a kid from foster care,
whose name was Tyler,
he had lots of troubles,
he became a fighter.

I would come home from school,
and there, my brother would be,
I would be terrified,
although, he promised not to hurt me.

He tried to be my friend,
but I always pushed him away,
I did try to show him love... the only way I knew,
but he wasn't happy... he decided not to stay.

When I found he half dead,
he had one last thing to say,
and that was that he was sorry,
and would make it up to me, some way.

His shadow still harnts me,
still to this day,
and once in a while I hear the words,
'I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you, some way.'
