Unathorized Autobiography Poem by Danlu Lopez

Unathorized Autobiography

I did not approve the message
I did not say those words
I did not write those lines
I did not do those deeds
I will not write my life story
You will
You will add hue and shade to my life
You will add accent and verse to my words
You will grant yourself license with use of my lines
Your will make fables and myths of my deeds
I will not write my life story
You will
Life’s mirror exposes only what is palpable
When you give life to my inner self
It is of your self that you speak
When you lay claim to my deeds
The antiphon you reveal
When you give expression to my life
No more than a tale it will be
I will not write my life story
You will
