Unbidden Destiny Poem by Perveiz Ali

My unbidden unfortunate wave,
Why did you tempt?
This treacherous destiny,
Crumbled my heart, my hope, my dreams.
To dash my emotions against the rocks,
Tore into my life so wantonly wicked,
Ripped my passion to shreds,
This destructive storm so mean.

Destiny jerked me around,
Played me with scheming tricks.
Pummeled into a dark gloomy, fierce nightmare,
Into an obscurity ocean, no hope of rescue.
Will none come to my aid?
Doomed to float lifeless, unwanted?
A genteel hand reached down,
Snatching me from certain doom,
Love unlimited, my Savior, my faith!
