Uncle Cotton Poem by Bernice Shipman

Uncle Cotton

Rating: 5.0

He was a good man
Loved his wife and his land
He was proud of his family and friends
You could tell he loved the land by the callus on his mighty hands
Now he's plowing God's heavenly land
Now it will be loveier then ever before
Because now he's God's right hand plow man
It's beautiful and green
Because Uncle Cotton loved God
And every living thing

Bernice, you have written a beautiful and touching tribute. I read all of your poems posted here. What I loved most about all of them, they were straight from the heart. God blees you. Ron

You paint a passionate portrait here! It reminds me of my Grandfather. Thanks.
