Uncommon Denominators Poem by richard ilnicki

Uncommon Denominators

When common denominators
become unique
oblique illumination
transmits their hybrid traits,
recessive or otherwise,
until they take their gloves off
and square off
in a field of exponential thought.
Unleashed, they now are free
to become slaves on trading blocks
or extraordinary orators
of dead languages;
the sound of Demosthenes
gargling down by the sea shore.

But this time they choose instead
to run counterclockwise
ruby red rings around Saturn.
They take protective homophobic gloves off
and touch sarcolytic decomposing flesh;
unafraid, the contamination
of the human body invites their love.

Suddenly! Without warning!
Nothing add-up anymore
and two wrongs now make a right..
