Yearning is my lover
Dreams my beau
because these two
I take to bed
and make love to
in the sweet dark
which is my night.

I caress them
and they I
soothing
caresses
which calm
my day
and excite my night.

One kisses, passionate kisses
and the other soothes my brow
the two
take my day
and set it aright.

I reach for each
under cover
and they reach for me
we three
mete
out
our
destinies
amid quivering
desires.

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Out of the bosom of the Air
Out of the cloud-folds of her garments shaken,

Over the harvest-fields forsaken,
Silent, and soft, and slow
