Under The Influence Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Under The Influence

It feels like I'm dreaming.
Free to wonder wherever I like.
The pretty lights that compliment your
Smile.
as soon my eyes close.
I think about you
As the touch of your hand presents severe tremors.
Positions that justify that sex is just an act. Reoccurring earthquakes that happen without warning.
Without safe zone
As you exist only when I close my eyes.
Spots before my eyes.
Outlining Different lines and shapes.
Forty minutes of everlasting bliss.
That seem a life time.
My mouth dries. Yearning to taste you
From one second to the next.
Soon we begin to walk.
Stumbling, Hazed in infinite depth.
As this thirst grows
Dilated in the sound of how pretty your skin shimmers under the pretty lights.
A loss of words to how beautiful your laugh really is.
delusions that your here with me.
Visualizing your hand in mine.
Afraid to wake knowing you won't be there.
Only when I close my eyes.
Do things seem real
A perception that I'm awake when I'm really not.
It feels like I'm dreaming as every kiss manifests into bliss.
A total loss of words as these earthquakes grow stronger.
As mental is everlasting
Closing my eyes once more
