O time, why must you be so steadfast
in your plight to go forward?
Just this once, rewind, that I might undo
this thing I've done.
Moon, speak to the sun,
tell her of my forlorn tears,
tell her of my fears,
that she might have compassion
on me.
O sea,
call back your waves that ebb and surge
like the pendulum of an old clock.
Take it back,
for my heart can't survive, I am sure...
Make it no more.
