Unexpressed Pain Poem by Bireswar Halder

Unexpressed Pain

Beautiful toys and dolls once cherished
Scattered everywhere lying uncared.
The jubilant kid finds them all useless,
As depression engulfed her smiling face.

Standing alone before the window bar,
She reminiscences about the days
Passed with her father
With support and love of her parents
She started to nurture the juvenile talent.

With a sudden change of atmosphere,
In the clear sky came a twister,
Happiness and peace disappeared
Because her mother suddenly divorced.

Tears rolled down in silence
Where is dad to console her?
Who stood by her side as lovely friend,
And got relief when he touched her head.

Will she come into contact with him again,
To get relief from her unexpressed pain,
Breaking into pieces the barrier of love,
For having her joy and peace returned?
