Unforgettable Poem by Kwai Chee Low

Unforgettable

I stand beneath the street lamp’s yellow halo
The morning mist dances in the shadow
Rain has stopped and the streets are damp
Deserted of life, its two a.m.

We loved walking in the rain
Riding on a bike, snuggled in a train
We sang to our favorite song
Laughing when we get the verses wrong

Now my eyes are dry, the tears no longer run
You are gone and you are the only one
My happiness, my joy and pain
Your face I see whenever it rains
