Unforgettable Moments Poem by Katherine Graven

Unforgettable Moments

Rating: 5.0

Love does not see me, as love seen others before
Sealed dreams of romance, now a closed door
No lands afar, wishes in fountains, love letters to send
Nothing to see, no desire, no weeping, just the end

Clawing at the cold steal barrier, cloaking love from a heart
Ignoring every cry, please, begging for a new start
Cold dead heart's window, looking in from outside
Others never looking, not even a glance, feelings are blind

These chains and shackles, bind and bound
Soulfully seeking to find what was never to be found
Love is never a guarantee, some live in a purgatory of fairy tales
Never finding a Prince to raise the Princess's wedding veil

Some get ignored, forgetting they are there
Like a lamp shade sitting in a chair,
No light switch to be turned on
Loneliness, stuck without love, all alone

Cherish loving moments, even though some may be lies
Never look back when someone says good bye
Time is short, you can never go back
Fleeting moments of Joy, no one should lack

A child's giggle, a puppy's wagging tail, true love for just a day
Life can take you down Memory's path, taking it all away
Robbing you of joy, you may have been blessed to find
If you allow it, only memories of heart aches left behind.

Every Day is a Blessing
Every Year Brings Many Lessons
Life Time of Living
Determines
Unforgettable Moments
