Unforgotten Christ Poem by Liza Sud

Unforgotten Christ

Rating: 5.0

The meaning of C is Christ.
And I'll take this letter also.
It is between K and I.
Only with Christ Ivan became - Kronstadt's,

That's how last name is formed.
Our marriage is blessed by sky.
And now I am totally yours.
And I didn't forget Christ.

I read this poem three times, and my initial reaction only grew stronger, that is, your poem is a resolution of conflicts and contradictions you have been wrestling with, your poems of spring and summer record it. But you have resolved these issues by r-e-m-e-m-b-e-r-i-n-g everything of value and putting each thing in its special place. And the three poems of today and yesterday do so with no stress or anxiety, but rather clarity and calm. This poem and the others are perfect to read on a Sunday: Sunday closes the week that was and makes us ready for the week to come; these poems bring closure to past issues, and we can greet what's to come with complete confidence. This is a triumph of BOTH/AND thinking in contrast to EITHER/OR thinking. (I told you I find the Methodist service I attend to be spiritually thin as liturgy but I like the people - so I'll take these poems with me for my private meditation.)

Christ remains in mind of many as savior of humanity in this world. This is very thoughtful poem.10
