Unique Love Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Unique Love

Who is to say that when we dream
Reality is not what is seen?
And that when consciously we rise,
The things done there are a disguise?

As we daydream looking out at stars,
Windows reflect the unique love we are!
If we watch closely we’ll be sure to see,
Shooting stars to wish on, a unique love treat!

In my dreams it’s you who becomes alive.
And it’s there I’ll keep you by my side.
And if I can’t have you when I’m awake,
Then off to dreamland my unique love to take.

In my arms you’re safe and sound.
And in your arms love does abound.
The sandman comes to me at night,
And after that you become my light.

My pillow suddenly becomes you.
I feel your breath and heartbeat too.
And when I’m in this unique world,
My unique love, glows like a pearl.
