I walked for miles
In the soles of their souls
I saw the fear in their eyes
Terrified I cried with blood-shot eyes
I walked with holes in my soles
Miles journeyed to reach their souls
I heard their screams for freedom
They relinquishing their lives
I tasted their holocaust blood
Remembrance in Christ's suffering
I smelled their burning ashes
In dreams of the phoenix surmounting
I felt the history of their tormenting
Enslaved by a life impoverished
I walked so many miles
In their rubbered soles
Confounded by the torment
Of history's dissent
I saw the tears
In their solemn eyes
And cried lonesome
This solace night
I heard whispers
Of their despair
And tasted loss
Forgotten now
Left so lonely
In great despair
In such evil
I die tonight
