United We Stand Poem by John Leroy Maxwell

United We Stand

Strong and proud, above the crowd
WE LET OUR VOICES RING
With words brought forth from the
mind and heart
WE LET OUR VOICES RING
Intimate knowledge we want to share
All walks of words we do declare
WE LET OUR VOICES RING
Hear us people, and open up, as new
seasons come your way
Absorb the meaning of the words
and e'er hold at bay
WE LET OUR VOICES RING
As poets, composers, and singers too,
we want our words to work for you
WE LET OUR VOICES RING
Freedom of speech, freedom of
expression, and poetic license all
Will e'er stand strong, and bide with us,
and never, ever fall
WE LET OUR VOICES RING
