Unknown Face Poem by Martine Kolber

Unknown Face

Rating: 5.0

A screen over here
A screen over there

Though I never saw
That face
Nor a smile nor tears

Belonging to that face
I do not know characteristics
Yet its beauty I

Do see through
Loving words put up in
Lines, a poet’s soul inside

Questioning my heart
It does say
There is a place

For the one
Without a face
The one living

The first house
On the left
In a street I do

Not know and maybe
Never will, still
Since that somber

Day that writing
Voice touched my heart
I somehow do not

Feel lonely anymore
Light seems brighter
And the sky higher

I stand at the foot of the ocean, and place a kiss on the leaving wave, i watch as it sails over distant waters, hoping it reaches your angelic face.10++
