Unquenchable Thirst Poem by Jacob Biehl

Unquenchable Thirst

An eye for an eye,
venom clear in his gaze,
tooth for a tooth,
a flash in the night,
blood for blood,
the warm liquid drips down the knife.

Ashes to ashes,
unto the next one,
dust to dust,
the next traitorous dog,
life for death,
he craves the next sheathe for his blade.

All will fall,
he still needs more,
none will live as revenge still rears its ugly head,

It's intolerable,
a child rises,
such a monster,
he relieves the man of his life,
he killed his father,
we begin again,
an unquenchable thirst launches into action again,
it will never end...
