Though my love is unrequited
I'm not going to prove it to you
though I still crave your touch
I will not go to you
My love should not trouble you
but I do not want you to hate
what I felt for you
Move on, just like you are
and I'll move on too
though I'll miss you
every night
and every day
and every move I make
and every breathe I take
I'll be here, as a friend
to protect you from harms way

So do not hate me
for trying to be a friend
protecting you from mistakes I made
that will be repeated again
The only reason why
I'm trying to make amends now
because my love is unrequited

If you get hurt
and need a shoulder to cry on
I'll still be here
sharing my love with you
whether you need or want it
I'll always be here
waiting for you
that one day you'll realize
that you always loved me too

So please, my beloved
do not be mad at me
do not be sad about me
for I do not deserve that
nor do you
When you decide to think about me
on one of those days you are lonely
just remember all the memories
though you tried so hard to forget them
good or bad, happy or sad
