Unsaved Dessert Poem by Saiom Shriver

Unsaved Dessert

Among the prisoners the governor,
prosecutors, US Supreme Court
and supreme court of
that state executed was a man so
retarded he did not know he could not
save the dessert of his last supper for
later.

Obfuscating semanticists call
condemned prisoners' last supper
'last meal' so as not to focus
on the crucifixion of a human being.
