Unspoken Conversations Poem by Carrick Taylor

Unspoken Conversations

Rating: 5.0

Have you ever sat back and thought about the way communicate as people?
Yes we speak to each other on the daily, seems very simple.
But all communication isn't spoken and doesn't need translation.
Your facial expression alone can be powerful enough to move a nation.
One of the greatest plays in sports can happen just off eye contact.
And an arm over the shoulder can quickly bring your smile back.
A feeling of love can come from a simple caress.
Grabbing the hand of the person beside you can voice protest.
A simple tear down the cheek can carry so much pain.
But once that tear is released the unspoken conversation may change.
Because the next expression you may see is relief.
A different look is now in their eye and hope begins to beam.
And not a word is said but each person knows.
That the release of the emotions they were feeling had to be let go.
But no need to talk about it, just need someone to relate.
Who knew unspoken conversations were all you needed for your great escape.
