Untenable Poem by Abdul Wahab

Untenable

Rating: 4.5

In ideas I am very mediocre
My thoughts move around the trifle things
They allege and I search them out
But I did not find anything except
A piece of paper at the back of my door
On it nothing has been written
Barely a few lines of an adventurous attempt
On my tattered life experience
I did not take that seriously, so, I forgot
But the men who call themselves intellectuals
Mind it and put it on their agenda
At the end of the intense discussion
They all against me put a charge
I have had that audacity to rise
And untie all the dragons of truth
I am a very simple man with a simple mind
Quickly I send them this sallow message
As I really I do not know the words to refute
How these few simple lines of mine
Based on very common life becomes a poem
And a person like me very ordinary become a poet!
