Until Daylight Poem by A. V. Asreg

Until Daylight

You can stay here tonight
you know I don’t mind
You should stay the night
‘cause you have me spellbind
I want you to stay the night
I’ll promise to be kind
Until the daylight, at least the daylight

You are always welcome here
and your tender affections
I don’t mind you being here
even your darker afflictions
I want you always here
I’ll be your protection
Until the daylight, at least the daylight

Yes, a thickening hope
Oh, this flickering dream
Yet you’re keeping still

Will there be more of those
reckless nights
Will there be more of those
ruthless heights
Yes, there will be, say there will

Say you will stay the night
Until the daylight, at least the daylight
