Until Your Words Doth Kill Poem by Eben S J

Until Your Words Doth Kill

The exponential number of lies
Reverberating amongst those close
Shock wave of horror follow
As secrets one kept quiet are revealed

Cracks begin to appear
Frothing soil
Rears its ugly head
As cracks turn into crevices

I watch as my world
sinks into turmoil
and the light which once shone so bright
is permanently extinguished

My life which once was once
So meaningful
Is nothing but worthless words
And a few scarce feelings

I've never felt so alone
this un-natural darkness
which you
you thrust upon me

You never notice me
Like you use to
I seem unworthy of you
You don't care anymore

It took just five words
Five words from those delicate lips of yours
To destroy everything i ever had
You killed me inside

I really like this poem. I think it shows how words really can cause damage, although many people may not think so. Its a poem a lot of people can relate to.
