Untimely Rain Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Untimely Rain

Rating: 5.0

and the raindrops fall
through the leaves making
swishing sounds in the night
when all are peacefully sleeping

and the lightening makes
the world shine for a second
when it appears in zigzag lines
across the sky, sharp and whitened

and it feels cool inside
rooms and sleep turns deep
this rain of summer is welcomed
to get some comfort from summer's grip

Great imagery, which brings on thoughts and recollections of peaceful summer nights, and being lulled to sleep by the musical sound of rainfall. Lovely!

A beautiful description of the rare hours in the life of a poet, also this natural poem reminds us of the snow poem of Robert Frost, a poem of great beauty and splendour that deserves 10/10

The pleasure of having 'Untimely Rain' on a summer night nicely captured in all its hues. Thanks, Anil ji. You are a great explorer of nature around us.
