(untitled #75) Poem by bob barci

Hazelnut coffee and I
sit together on the front porch.
We mellow out
with the late afternoon breeze.
I quietly say a little prayer for Dad
whose birthday was the other day.
I envision Mom
cutting him a piece of birthday cake
I smile at the sight.
I wonder if Heaven
serves flavored coffee.
