Untold Story Poem by Jacques Johan Swart

Untold Story

Alone in the dark I wonder
As I listen to the roaring thunder
I hear the sound less screams
Of their worlds shattered dreams
Deep within my soul
Begging to be whole

I walk in darkness down the street
I do not greet anyone I meet
I fear what they've become
Wronged by everyone
Hatred in their eyes
Vengeance in their lies

Their world seems sadly broken
Love remains unspoken
I saw it once before
I fear tomorrow we'll see it once more

They have no hope left
But blinding theft

Still we walk by without a care
While in silence they stare
At a dream walking by
another one that will soon die
