Unusual Widow- The Humanism Poem by Ratnakar Mandlik

Unusual Widow- The Humanism

Rating: 5.0

One winter night in the freezing cold
A widow stood shivering alone in the veld.
Her clothing was too apt to bear winter cold
With her trembling voice she began to scold.

She was no doubt a widow but not in reality
She had to accept widowhood as a penalty
That too for a crime for which she was not guilty
So she scolded every one even in ways dirty.

She was very happy when God her father
Had given her in marriage to rulers of universe,
She thought of it as most picturusque
And she too could rule it being part of ruler.

With elegance and grace she crossed threshold
Of human life to be his better half and friend
To guide him to be rich too in spirituality
To lead life with mutual help and fraternity.

Universe was picturesque, human good natured
Till she didn't point him out what was immoral
She tried to banish vices from human mind
She had to leave human as it's result final.

She is shivering from cold & fear of extinction
Not finding for herseld in the world any function.
Standing alone in the veld away from humans
Scolding him this unusual widow- the humanism.
