Upon Death Poem by Morakinyo Temiloluwa Bolarinwa

Upon Death

Maybe when I die,
Legacy would be sealed,
Maybe when I die,
The world might be healed,
Effects and impacts from me would cease,
The ripples of happenings from me would fix.

Maybe when I die,
Those whom I shadow may rise,
Maybe when I die,
Wonders may rise from the dust of my demise,
Others may stand on my bones,
Teaching, building men of stones.

Maybe when I die,
My acts may turn legends,
Maybe when I die,
Memory of my wrong ends,
The world be forgetful of weakness,
The monster in me hailed as passing of angels.

Maybe when I die,
Mortal foes turn acolytes,
Maybe when I die,
Maybe men don't die....
