Upside-Down, Today Poem by Sandra Feldman

Upside-Down, Today

Rating: 5.0

We seem to be living Upside Down,
Today,
What is crooked, is now round,
Today,
Good and Bad have no sound,
Today
The Law is a Bear's Claw,
Today
I truly don't understand,
What's going on,
Today.

Please, help me,
I cannot stand to live this way,
Are we living a nightmare with an open Spout?
Is everything that was respected, now in doubt?
Did I just fall off a passive chair,
Lost consciousness, cannot recuperate anywhere?
Is this 'New World' now here to stay?
A world of fury, disarray,
Confusion, mess, no brand new day,
A sad and shattered World it seems,
Where they have stolen all our Dreams.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

To right the world we must always be positive. The negative effects of life must be ignored. At least, this is my perspective. In writing poetry we can rail at injustices and everything we see and feel. Thank you Sandra for your exquisite comment on my poems.
