Uptick Poem by John Ashbery

Uptick

Rating: 4.6

We were sitting there, and
I made a joke about how
it doesn't dovetail: time,
one minute running out
faster than the one in front
it catches up to.
That way, I said,
there can be no waste.
Waste is virtually eliminated.

To come back for a few hours to
the present subject, a painting,
looking like it was seen,
half turning around, slightly apprehensive,
but it has to pay attention
to what's up ahead: a vision.
Therefore poetry dissolves in
brilliant moisture and reads us
to us.
A faint notion. Too many words,
but precious.

2) To come back for a few hours to the present subject, a painting, slightly apprehensive, but it has to pay attention to what's up ahead: a vision. Therefore poetry dissolves in brilliant moisture and reads us to us. A faint notion. Too many words, but precious. A very wise cutest philosophy, Too many words, BUT Precious. Especially when it comes from the wise pen of John Sir! I have enjoyed through and through, John Sir! GBU.

CONGRATULATIONS on being chosen as The Modern Poem Of The Day! Having read your My Philosophy Of Life, is this a Cutest Small philosophy. A 10 Top Score for the Uptick. Such ardent phrases, I like them all.The Uptick, a very interesting small piece of philosophy, John! Indeed, it doesn't dovetail: time, one minute running out, faster than the one in front it catches up to. That way, I said, there can be no waste. Waste is virtually eliminated Read 2) .
