Us
What is it
In us…
That makes us
Kind towards
Some animals
But cruel towards
Others?
The cats,
The dogs and
The hamsters
Are born
Lucky…
To be
Petted by
Us.
The chickens,
The lambs and
The pigs are
Destined to be
Killed by us.
Is this nature’s
Law of survival
Or the deeds of
Karma?
God forbid,
In our next
Birth,
If we are
One of these
Animals,
We’ll look up to
‘Humans’ to save
And spare us.
