Utopia And Paradise Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Utopia And Paradise

Happiness was you and me
In rosewood gardens by the sea,
A kiss when love was at its height
Fine romance one starry night.

Utopia was Paradise,
Young love such a pleasure,
Country walks of sheer delight
Roaming through the heather.

Now we live in changing times
Days of innocence left behind
Yet still we think of foolish things
Honeymoons and wedding rings.

And I still hear your twilight song
Eden's Lake...pure white swan
Today I wake to love's surprise
Utopia and Paradise.
