V8 Smash

Firstly it was attraction, curiosity, trial and then a lifestyle
Before one knows it is downhill gathering speed
The brakes would work but used reservedly
Alas, the brakes would slip and now the will to stop lost forever
The lean on the occasional blockade would be heavier and sooner the blockade gives
The slip would run for it without any qualms or consternation

The blockade would intervene in different forms of persuasions
Unfortunately the blood stream reminisced the fuel system of a V8 monster automobile
Gathering speed after speed
The corners became a difficult indaba to negotiate and exacerbated by the rise of the adrenalin pumping system of the monster

Alas, the anticipated smash occurred abruptly but in the slow motion of a night mare
Like a flash of lightening before the rainstorm, the lights of the monster went out
The first spectator extremely horrified but calmed herself because she knew it was coming
She foresaw the pall of dust that would turn into smoke, followed by rubble, fire and then macabre

The swarm to the house of sorrow was gradual, slow like the experimenting of the start
But never gathered any momentum
The end reached in a high note of sympathy but regret in heaven

About the drunk Can Themba about, the eventual end of an alcoholic
