Valedictory By The Last Year

Destiny the barbarian has dragged me to the edge of life
Where an invisible tomb of time impatiently awaits
To welcome my battered remains
Like a hound to a scent of a game I can sniff it
Death drawing closer with every passing microsecond
Brutal fact struggles to home inside me
In few hours time I shall be converted to just another chapter in history
Like those of my kind before me
It's painfully amazing how nature operates!

Everyone is incredibly excited
Celebrating my impending departure
Parties, bashes, banquets grip every corner of the country
Fireworks on the set
To be unleashed into the black as coal skies
Once I drew the last breath
Its unbearable to stomach this atmosphere
Were I that bad?
Like some kind of  a hardcore criminal? Like a hoodlum who shoots to kill at an innocent soul?

My heart bleeds
My eyes wet
My world gradually darkens
Where is that charming smile they gleamed upon my arrival?
Like a knife plunging through flesh
It excruciatingly dawns on me
Their love is as fake as a made in china gadget

I feel for one coming after me
For he shall be welcomed with fake smile and pleasure
Fooled by their warm greetings
He shall believe all is rosy
And that future glimmers only bright
But after twelve moons
Destiny the barbarian
Shall pounce on him like a starving lion on defenseless zebra
He shall face this very same fate
