Vanıshing Beauty

Where are those beautiful trees
which shed its leaves and flowers
all year long

Where are those beautiful streams
and rivers which was once
the glory of this place

Where are those birds
which waked me up every morning
with its beautiful songs

Where are those forests
which was once the shelter
for many animals and birds

Everything vanishes
as the years pass by
the beauty of nature,
once we had is gone
gone for ever...

Mary, I can't believe I missed this poem when I read poems from your list. Not only do you lament the disappearance of natural things but your language in describing them is so beautiful that their loss is felt more deeply. I find it hard to believe that some industrialist or developer could continue destroying nature if he could read your heartfelt plea. Alas, their hearts must be hardened. But yours is still open and responsive to nature! (Report) Reply

In a positive sense let us think. Then we find that these change are inevitable in all spheres of life and mostly we need not blame it on ourselves Whenever we cannot digest the facts we react though we are helpless as well.. In real with seeing eyes we can reinvent them. But when we think negatively the question is what is the need for bemoaning a dying planet that is hopelessly possessed by this man alone..... A good write Amrutha. (Report) Reply
