Vast, Silk Moonlight Poem by ben myles

Vast, Silk Moonlight

midnight peril;
in city slums.
a vast silk, moonlight;
leaves me numb.
between broken bottles;
whiskey, rum.
the rhythmic beating;
of tribal drums.
of no lives, low lives,
thieves, and bums
low rise, high rise;
the police, will come.
