Venessa Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Venessa

If you do not know the rules of life,
What should i do when the dogs do bit you?
And i never meant to hurt you so,
Please do forgive me.

The way of your life was just a tip of the ice burg,
And i am a woman who is deeply troubled;
But you are just like the son of Belial and,
I am the daughter of my mother.

Please forgive me for the pain that i have caused you,
For you are only a boy and i am only a girl;
But love have brought us together on this table and,
The bitterness of the soul hangs on the wall.

I am Venessa and i am sitting here looking at you,
Please can i glean and gather the sheaves with you?
For i am a woman of substance!
And to glean the head of grain like,
The precious stone that needed to be kept;
But the three little birds onmy roof top responded,
And it is like Fred and Red in the land of the Red Stew.

Have you finished eating and drinking?
For the Philistines have brought the ark of Yahweh;
And of a bronze coal of mail! !

I am like the suckling lamb to learn the rules but,
You've taken over the rules of law into your own hands!
So please do forgive me if i have hurt you.
