Versus Sea Poem by Danielle Mari Nidea

Versus Sea

Today i walk across the sea,
The seagulls flying, eying me.
I look down and then I see
The undersea's reality.

The fish look up and I they mock,
A naive traveler from the dock.
I look up to check the clock,
And see goose who lost its flock.

No refuge for me, not one in sight
In this glorious, doleful chicken fight.
And there I stand and lose my might
To win the sea for just one night.
