Vertical Redemption Poem by KarlRomeo PierreLouis

Vertical Redemption

My mirrors have abandoned me
leaving behind only the reality I fear to see
under the street light of honesty & 6th
it has left me as an orphan to the night sky
and a shadow below the morning sun
risking a facade for those with guns
terrifying dignity indeed...
from its beginning I can't recall
without the dew of its season warming
the regrets of my present
kind and unkind silence, how delightful
you can be to a crowded soul
laying in the indiscreet corner of my religion
supporting and guiding the path of tears
in the evolution of pessimism
shunned and kept as secret as I can reflect
with my eyes....
