Treasure Island

Daniel Oliveira

Vicious

Take a step out your door
You see the blood
Rise, red, to your eyes, blind

Off into the shore
On the other side
The light burns stronger,
Makes you want to close your eyes

Vision beyond the gates
Vision beyond the walls
Keep us bastards from ourselves
But the light, when
It burns stronger
Makes you shut your eyes
And all you’ll see
Is
Red

, Red,
Red beyond the riverbanks of suffering and pain
Beyond the locks and shackles
Intertwining on our skin
Just the violent vermilion
You’ve come to dream
Is in the light.
